Introduction to Fair Isle

ONE SPACE LEFT!

Fair Isle knitting can be described as knitting a repeating pattern or design using 2 colours in the same row. If you can do both knit and purl stitch with confidence you can progress onto Fair Isle knitting.

In this workshop you will learn the techniques needed to get started with 2-colour (more if you like) knitting. We will begin by learning about and practising stranding and weaving the yarns at the back of the work, and you will learn about how to follow a chart. You will knit a swatch with Fair Isle technique, in preparation for the pattern provided.

Workshop date: Saturday 14th November, 14-16.

Price £45/pp, 2x 100g DK yarn and a cushion cover pattern as well as yarn for swatches included.

Please bring with you a selection of needles such as 3.25, 3.5, 4, 4.5 & 5 mm for the swatch.

Please Note! This is an intermediate class, not suitable for complete beginner knitters.
